Tottenham Hotspur linked with a move for Samuel Eto'o

Former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o could reportedly join Tottenham Hotspur as Mauricio Pochettino looks to hijack West Ham's move for the Cameroonian.

New Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly looking to add former Chelsea striker Sameul Eto'o to his squad.

Eto'o, 33, has been linked with a move to West Ham United, although Sam Allardyce has today distanced the Hammers from a move for the Cameroon international.

That news appears to have alerted Tottenham, who struggled for goals last season, with Emmanuel Adebayor the only Spurs player to reach double figures in the league last term.

Eto'o, meanwhile, netted nine times in 21 appearances for Chelsea last season.
