Sunderland are reportedly not planning to launch a bid for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Scott Parker this summer.

Sunderland are reportedly unlikely to make a bid for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Scott Parker.

Recent reports have suggested that Black Cats boss Paolo Di Canio was keen on securing the 32-year-old's services for the 2013-14 campaign.

Despite the rumours, the North East outfit will not try to lure the midfielder from White Hart Lane this summer, according to the Shields Gazette.

The Black Cats are reportedly expected to sign El Hadji Ba and Modibo Diakite on free transfers.
