Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Schalke 04.
The 28-year-old has faced an uncertain future at Spurs since criticising the club's ambition and wage structure in 2017, for which he subsequently apologised.
Rose has also struggled for game time, making just 10 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham last season after returning in October from a knee ligament injury.
According to Sky Sports News, the Gelsenkirchen club have begun talks with Spurs over the prospect of signing the full-back on loan for the remainder of the season.
Rose, capped 23 times by England at senior level, is under contract with Tottenham until 2021.
