Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins as a potential replacement for Harry Kane if he was to leave North London this summer.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed his best goalscoring season in the Premier League this term, scoring 15 goals as he helped Villa to secure a top-seven finish and a place in the Europa Conference League.
Having joined the West Midlands outfit from Brentford in 2020, the forward's performances at Villa Park have seen him earn seven caps for England, fighting the likes of Callum Wilson and Ivan Toney for the title of Kane's deputy at international level.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Watkins is on a list of potential replacements if Kane was to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer, with the likes of Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid said to be interested in the 29-year-old.
The report claims that Watkins's form under Unai Emery has "not gone unnoticed" at Spurs, and that the former Brentford man is part of a list of players whom the Londoners view as potential incomings in the upcoming transfer window.
Watkins has enjoyed a meteoric rise from non-league football to the Premier League, with the Villa striker playing for Weston Super Mare at the age of 19 in 2015.
