Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly had a bid accepted for Atalanta BC defender Cristian Romero.
While the Serie A outfit possess the option to purchase current loanee Romero from Juventus, they are seemingly ready to make a quick profit on the Argentina international.
As well as helping his country win this summer's Copa America title, the 23-year-old was voted as the best defender in Italy's top flight during the last campaign.
Reports have suggested for a number of weeks that Spurs are interested in signing Romero, who has been valued in the region of £50m.
However, according to talkSPORT, Atalanta have accepted an offer of £43m plus add-ons for a player who has emerged as their most prized asset.
Discussions are expected to progress at a rapid rate with Romero scheduled to return to Atalanta on Monday.
