Tottenham Hotspur reportedly have plans to add a new centre-forward to their squad during the summer transfer window.
The North London outfit made the decision to cash in on all-time club record goalscorer Harry Kane before the beginning of 2023-24.
Rather than spend big on a like-for-like replacement, Ange Postecoglou was prepared to go with the talent already in the squad, as well as adding Argentine youngster Alejo Veliz to his ranks.
Despite missing a frontman of the quality of Kane, Spurs have still managed to score 51 goals from their 24 matches in the Premier League, just five short of Manchester City.
While as many as 14 different players have gotten on the scoresheet, Son Heung-min (12) and Richarlison (10) have chipped in with a large portion of the strikes in question.

With James Maddison now fit again after injury, there is the expectation that Spurs will only go from strength to strength during the back end of the campaign.
Nevertheless, according to Football Insider, Spurs officials are prepared to give the green light to a new fresh face being brought into the senior ranks.
The report suggests that Postecoglou and chairman Daniel Levy are ready to bring forward plans to secure the services of a different option for down the middle of the attack.
Brentford's Ivan Toney is allegedly on the radar of Spurs at a time when Premier League rivals such as Arsenal and Manchester United are also said to be admirers of the England international.

Toney has chipped in with three goals - including one against Spurs - in four appearances since completing an eight-month ban for breaching betting regulations.
At a time when his contract has less than 18 months remaining, there have been suggestions that Brentford are aware that a sale is realistically likely in the summer.
Other big names will enter the equation if Spurs are able to secure a return to the Champions League, Spurs currently fourth in the Premier League table and one point ahead of fifth-placed Aston Villa.
While Spurs hope that Veliz may eventually challenge for a regular spot in the team, the young Argentine was restricted to eight substitute outings in the top flight before completing a loan switch to Sevilla in January.
