Tottenham Hotspur full-back Danny Rose has hinted that he would be willing to turn his loan move at Sunderland into a permanent one.
Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas recently ruled out allowing the Doncaster-born player to join the Black Cats for any longer than his season-long loan deal.
However, Rose has insisted that he is "settled" on Wearside and is enjoying featuring in the Premier League on a regular basis.
"I'm very happy up North, I'm closer to my family, I'm playing every week," Rose told BBC Newcastle. "I love the staff, the players, and I'm not looking to go back down South and not play. I'm settled.
"I spoke to the manager and asked him what was happening, because I want to know.
"He told me the plan was for me to stay [on Wearside] for the full season and whatever happens after that is out of my hands, it's up to Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur."
Rose has made 16 appearances in all competitions for Sunderland.
