Report: Michael Dawson, Gylfi Sigurdsson refuse to leave Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur duo Michael Dawson and Gylfi Sigurdsson are refusing to leave the club this summer, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino's spending plans have hit a snag as Gylfi Sigurdsson and Michael Dawson are refusing to leave the club, according to a report.

Pochettino planned to sell the duo for a total of £15m, but is trying to engineer a swap deal with Swansea City to send Sigurdsson to the Liberty Stadium for Ben Davies and Michel Vorm.

Dawson was said to be close to a move to Hull City in a £5m deal, although he is only willing to move to the Tigers if he is offered a four-year contract, which has put the transfer at a deadlock, reports The Mirror.

The drawn-out sagas have left Pochettino unable to bring any new faces into White Hart Lane, until the futures of both players are resolved.

Tottenham begin their Premier League campaign against West Ham United on August 16.
