Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Ryan Bertrand as a possible candidate to fill one of their defensive spots ahead of next season.
Chelsea defender Bertrand has struggled to secure regular first-team football at Stamford Bridge, and spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are demanding £8m for the 24-year-old after reportedly rejecting an offer of £6m from Liverpool.
Spurs were believed to be leading the chase to sign Ben Davies from Swansea City, but Liverpool are also believed to be interested in the Welsh defender.
Mauricio Pochettino is reported to have informed chairman Daniel Levy that he would be happy to sign either Davies or Bertrand.
