Gareth Bale is ready to put his dream move to Real Madrid on hold at the request of his family, according to reports.

Gareth Bale will reportedly reject a move to Real Madrid this summer and stay at Tottenham Hotspur for at least one more season.

According to The People, Bale is ready to put his dream move to Spain on hold at the request of his family.

The Welsh international has recently had a baby, and although his long-term girlfriend is prepared to move abroad, she would like to stay in Britain for now.

The report suggests that the 23-year-old is happy to stay at Spurs for another season if they qualify for the Champions League.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy apparently believes that he can persuade Bale to rethink if that happens and will offer him an improved contract to stay at White Hart Lane.

If talks do break down, Levy will not accept anything lower than £50m for the player.
