Real Madrid will reportedly offer Tottenham Hotspur £56.5m for Gareth Bale in next month's winter window.

Real Madrid have reportedly decided to try to lure Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale from White Hart Lane in the January transfer window.

The Spanish giants have been linked with the Wales international for some time although speculation over a possible exit from Spurs appeared to be quashed when the 23-year-old signed a new long-term deal at the North London outfit in the summer.

Despite Bale's commitment to Spurs, it is understood that Real president Florentino Perez is ready to offer £56.5m for the winger next month, according to mundodeportivo.com.

The Welshman recently claimed that it would be difficult to turn down a move to La Liga.
