Mauricio Pochettino a big factor behind DeAndre Yedlin move

New Tottenham Hotspur signing DeAndre Yedlin explains his reasons behind his move from Seattle Sounders.

New Tottenham Hotspur signing DeAndre Yedlin has revealed that Mauricio Pochettino's attacking style was a big factor behind him choosing to move to White Hart Lane.

Spurs officially confirmed the USA international's switch from Seattle Sounders on Wednesday evening, and the defender explained why he decided to make the move.

Yedlin told the club's official website: "I'm very excited to be here, and play against some of the best player in the world. I'm excited to join this club and from what I've seen it's amazing. They have some of the best facilities in the world here.

"It's a great team, so I'm very excited. With the new coach (Mauricio Pochettino) coming in, it's a style that fits the way I play, and that's a big reason I made this decision, so I'm excited to come in and learn under him and under the great players of this team.

"I've talked to [USA coach] Jurgen Klinsmann a lot about this move and he supports it, which was one of the big reasons behind the decision."

The 21-year-old American signed a four-year deal with Spurs, but will spend this season on loan with the Sounders.
