Newcastle United have reportedly made a substantial offer for Marseille winger Florian Thauvin.
The 22-year-old has regularly been linked with a move away from the Stade Velodrome, and both Valencia and Tottenham Hotspur are believed to have watched him in action.
According to Canal+, the Magpies are willing to double Thauvin's salary if he were to move to St James' Park.
However, Thauvin is said to favour a move to Spurs and will wait for the Londoners to make their interest concrete.
The winger was reportedly left out of Marseille's squad for their 2-0 away win at Metz on Friday after falling out with a number of teammates.
It is thought that the unrest between himself and several of the OM dressing room may hasten his departure this summer.
