David Moyes prepares to make a second bid for former Toffee Steven Pienaar in January.

Everton boss David Moyes is ready to make a second bid to bring Tottenham's Steven Pienaar back to Merseyside.

The 29-year-old left Goodison Park last January in a £3.2m deal. However, he has struggled to make an impact in Harry Redknapp's side after suffering a groin injury at the start of the season.

Moyes failed to secure his former star's services on loan in the summer, but is understood to be preparing a second bid for the player.

However, having still not seen him in extended first-team action, the Spurs boss is expected to once again reject any loan offers for the midfielder.
