Real Madrid to replace Cristiano Ronaldo with Harry Kane?

Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing up Harry Kane as a potential long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Real Madrid are looking at Harry Kane as a long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, according to a report.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker, 22, has been on the La Liga side's radar for more than a year and although there is "no prospect" of a sale this month, The Telegraph claims that they have earmarked him as a top target should Ronaldo depart the Bernabeu in the near future.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has a good relationship with Madrid, having sold Gareth Bale to them for a world-record transfer fee in 2013, and would reportedly prefer to see Kane leave for a non-domestic rival.

Kane signed a new deal with Spurs last year keeping him at White Hart Lane until 2020 on a weekly salary of £45,000, although Levy's policy of annual salary negotiations means that he is due a pay rise past the £70,000 mark in the coming months.

According to a recent report from football analysis firm CIES Football Observatory, Kane is ranked as the fifth most valuable footballer in the world with an estimated worth of £68m.
