Leeds United secure Andros Townsend on loan

Leeds United have signed Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old recently signed a new five-year contract at White Hart Lane but has yet to make an impact in Harry Redknapp's first team.

Townsend has had previous loan spells in the Championship with Millwall, Watford and Ipswich Town and will go straight into Simon Grayson's squad to face Burnley on Monday.

"Andros is a quality young player with proven experience at this level and we're delighted to be able to bring him to Leeds," manager Grayson told the club's official website.
