Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Amauri is told that he can leave Italian side Juventus.

Juventus are hoping that Brazilian striker Amauri joins Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window.

The 31-year-old's agent recently claimed that Spurs were interested in signing his client next month.

It appears that Juve would welcome the switch, with the club's general manager Giuseppe Marotta admitting that the centre-forward is free to leave.

"Amauri to Tottenham? On our side there is the desire to facilitate this eventual transfer," Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.

"We must discuss the needs of the players and hope to be able to satisfy him."

Amauri joined Juve in 2008 from fellow Italian club Palermo.
