Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of England Under-19 full-back Zeki Fryers from Belgian outfit Standard Liege.
The 20-year-old spent the summer training with Spurs after coming to the end of his contract at Manchester United.
However, the Red Devils reportedly demanded £6m in compensation, preventing Fryers from sealing a permanent switch to White Hart Lane.
Instead, Fryers moved to Liege, who were not required to pay any compensation.
It is understood that Andre Villas-Boas has now landed his man for around £3m.
