Newcastle United are reportedly on the brink of completing a loan deal for Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose.
Having fallen out of favour since the arrival of Jose Mourinho, Rose is free to leave the North London outfit during the January window.
While Watford have been linked with the England international in the past, Sky Sports News claims that the 29-year-old is ready to move to St James' Park.
The Magpies want to strengthen their options at left-back as a result of Jetro Willems and Paul Dummett being ruled out for the rest of the season.
As well as the likelihood of earning first-team football, Rose has previously expressed a desire to return to the North of England, having previously been with Leeds United during his youth days.
Should a deal be finalised on Thursday, Rose could make his debut against Norwich City at the weekend.
