Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has played down suggestions that the Spanish champions could sign either Tottenham Hotspur forward Roberto Soldado or Manchester City's Alvaro Negredo this summer.
With Diego Costa set to join Chelsea and David Villa moving on to New York City, Atletico are expected to be in the market for at least one new centre-forward in this transfer window.
Both Soldado and Negredo moved from Spain to the Premier League last summer, but the former struggled to hold down a first-team spot at White Hart Lane.
Negredo, meanwhile, made a bright start to life with City, but his form tailed off in the latter part of the campaign.
Both Spanish strikers have been linked with a move to the Vicente Calderon in recent weeks, but Cerezo has quelled such talk.
"Soldado and Negredo? I haven't heard anything from the coaching staff about them," he told reporters.
Atletico won their first La Liga title since 1996 last term.
