Spain's assistant coach Paco Jimenez has claimed that Barcelona are keeping tabs on Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luka Modric.
The Croatian international has been heavily linked with a move away from White Hart Lane following the conclusion of Euro 2012.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have all been credited with an interest in the midfielder.
However, it now appears that the trio face competition from Barcelona, who have a scout watching the 26-year-old on international duty.
"He's playing very well. Barcelona have someone watching him," Jimenez told reporters.
"He was present at Croatia's game against Italy, but I cannot say who he is."
Modric joined Spurs in 2008 from Dinamo Zagreb.
