Antonio Conte is reportedly keen to sign Inter Milan centre-back Stefan de Vrij this summer, should the Italian become Tottenham Hotspur's new manager.
The 51-year-old, who left his role with Inter last month, is currently in talks with Spurs over the possibility of becoming Jose Mourinho's successor at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
According to Football Insider, Conte has already discussed potential new signings in the upcoming market and has picked out De Vrij as the ideal acquisition for the North London club.
The report claims that Tottenham are in the market for at least one new central defender this summer, with Davinson Sanchez expected to move on ahead of next season.
De Vrij - said to be valued by his Serie A club in the region of £45m - excelled under Conte at Inter during the 2020-21 campaign, making 42 appearances in all competitions.
The 29-year-old is currently with the Netherlands squad preparing for Euro 2020.
