Agent: 'Tottenham Hotspur want too much for Etienne Capoue'

Etienne Capoue is being priced out of a move away from Tottenham Hotspur, his representative claims.

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want £12m to allow Etienne Capoue to leave the club during the transfer window.

The midfielder only moved to White Hart Lane last summer from Toulouse but has struggled to show his best form.

He has been linked with a move to Napoli, but his representative has said that Spurs are holding up the deal with unrealistic demands, with The Mirror claiming that they want £12m.

"The problem is not the player or Napoli – Tottenham just want a lot of money. What they're asking for is absurd. But we are only on January 21, and there is still hope," Martha Fischer is quoted as saying by the newspaper.

Capoue joined Spurs for around £9m.
