Emmanuel Adebayor to stay at Tottenham Hotspur?

Spurs misfit Emmanuel Adebayor will stay at White Hart Lane beyond the closure of the summer transfer window, according to reports.

Out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor is expected to stay at White Hart Lane beyond the end of the transfer window, according to reports.

The Togolese reportedly held talks with West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic last night ahead of a prospective deadline-day loan move to Upton Park.

However, the Hammers are not permitted to make any more loan deals, having signed Victor Moses from Chelsea today and Arsenal's Carl Jenkinson earlier this summer.

Consequently, the 30-year-old is poised to stay with the Lilywhites unless an agreement to have his contract terminated can be agreed before 6pm, according to the Daily Mail.

Adebayor can still join United on a free transfer after the 6pm deadline if the parties negotiate the release of his contract.
