Emmanuel Adebayor will have a medical with Aston Villa on Wednesday as he moves a step closer to leaving Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports.
The striker has been repeatedly linked with a move to Villa Park in recent weeks after it emerged that former Spurs boss Tim Sherwood was keen on working with the 31-year-old again, and he was seen at the club's training ground earlier today.
Crystal Palace were rumoured to be keen on Adebayor, too, but Sky Sports News claims that the Togolese forward has decided to make the switch to Villa.
The report suggests that Villa have agreed on a loan deal with Spurs, which means that Adebayor's stay in North London is effectively over with just one year remaining on his contract.
Adebayor scored two goals in 13 Premier League appearances last season.
