AC Milan are reportedly preparing to battle Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier before the European transfer window closes.
Aurier has largely struggled to settle at Spurs since a 2017 switch from PSG, and it has been reported that the French champions are keen to bring the Ivory Coast international back to the club.
According to Calciomercato, though, Milan are also interested in a move for the 26-year-old as the Italian giants look to replace Andrea Conti.
Aurier has only started 22 Premier League matches for Tottenham over the last two seasons, while he was restricted to just 17 appearances in all competitions during the 2018-19 campaign due to injury.
The Ivorian's departure would leave Spurs short at right-back, though, with Kieran Trippier moving on during the summer to join Atletico Madrid and Juan Foyth currently on the sidelines with an ankle problem.
As a result, the relatively inexperienced Kyle Walker-Peters is currently the clear number one pick for that spot in Mauricio Pochettino's first XI.
