How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Manchester City

Ahead of Saturday's Premier League game between Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, Sports Mole looks at how the visitors could line up at the Etihad Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur make the trip to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City on Saturday looking to produce an improved performance after last weekend's struggle against Aston Villa.

While Spurs eventually prevailed by a 3-1 scoreline in North London, Mauricio Pochettino witnessed his side fail to impress during the opening 70 minutes of the game versus the newly-promoted side.

Pochettino has made a number of major additions in the transfer market, although the Argentine will require time to work out his best XI.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how Spurs may line up on the Premier League champions' territory.

Out: Son Heung-min (suspension), Dele Alli (hamstring), Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring), Juan Foyth (ankle)
Doubtful: Ben Davies (groin)

Pochettino made the bold call of omitting Jan Vertonghen out of his 18-man squad last weekend, while acknowledging that the left-sided defender was not carrying any injuries.

Despite Spurs' lack of fit defenders, the Belgium international is only likely to make the bench, providing that he has given a good account of himself in training.

Christian Eriksen is currently being linked with a move away from the club, but it would be a surprise if the Dane is not restored to the starting lineup having made his mark against Villa.

With Son Heung-min serving a suspension and Giovani Lo Celso only likely to feature among the replacements, it leaves Pochettino to select two players out of Moussa Sissoko, Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura.

Sissoko could potentially be used on the right flank in order to help Kyle Walker-Peters, while Moura may get the nod over Lamela given his exploits during the back end of last season.

Harry Winks and Tanguy Ndombele may be used as a two-man partnership in the centre of the park.
