Tottenham win for the sixth league game in a row after a 3-0 victory over Bolton on Saturday afternoon.

Tottenham moved into second place in the Premier League with a 3-0 win over Bolton on Saturday afternoon.

Spurs immediately began to dominate possession in the early period of the match and opened the scoring after barely seven minutes when Luka Modric found Gareth Bale, who flicked the ball into the back of the net.

Bolton struggled to gain a foothold as the half progressed and it got worse after 19 minutes when Gary Cahill was dismissed from play after a foul on Scott Parker.

Jussi Jaaskelainen prevented Spurs from doubling their lead after 24 minutes with a save from a Jermain Defoe effort.

Jaaskelainen was again called into action ten minutes before the break with a series of saves to deny Aaron Lennon and Defoe as the pressure increased.

Spurs made it 2-0 five minutes after half time when Lennon struck from inside the area before Defoe added a third on the hour mark from close range.

Spurs will look to continue their fine run of form when they face Stoke next Sunday, while Bolton welcome Aston Villa to the Reebok.
