Preview: Tottenham Hotspur vs. West Ham United

Sports Mole previews this weekend's Premier League encounter between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United at White Hart Lane.

This Sunday's London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United could be dominated by matters off the pitch due to the controversy surrounding anti-semitic chanting.

The Metropolitan Police have warned fans that any discriminatory behaviour from either set of supporters could result in arrests, which has been backed by the Hammers.

In terms of matters on the field, Tottenham head into the clash as favourites due to their record of four wins in six encounters, which has placed them third in the Premier League table, two points adrift of leaders Arsenal.

It's a different story for West Ham, though, who have been struggling for firepower due to the long-term absence of striker Andy Carroll, resulting in their failure to win a game since their opening-day 2-0 win over Cardiff City.

Manager Sam Allardyce is expected to name Joe Cole on the bench following a stint on the sidelines with injury, while Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is likely to make a number of changes to the team that defeated Anzhi Makhachkala 2-0 in the Europa League on Thursday.

Despite Jermain Defoe finding the net in Russia, Roberto Soldado is expected to return to the attacking fold.
