Tottenham Hotspur will be without Cristian Romero and Oliver Skipp for their clash against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Sunday.
Romero missed last weekend's 1-0 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers with an adductor injury, which he sustained in the previous match against Chelsea. While the injury is thought not to be as serious as first feared, Antonio Conte has ruled his key defender out of the trip to Nottingham on Sunday, clearly feeling there is no need to take major risks at this early stage of the season.
Likewise, Skipp is close to returning from a hairline fracture on his heel, but with Spurs having so many options in the middle of the park, the 21-year-old will be eased into first-team action in the coming weeks.
As such, it seems unlikely Conte will make any changes from the starting XI which marginally dispatched Wolves last time out, with Ivan Perisic recording his second assist in two games having made his first start for the club against Bruno Lage's side.
Harry Kane has been on the end of both of those assists, with his two goals this season already worth an additional three points for his side. He will be hoping for more support from his long-time strike partner Son Heung-min, who is yet to open his account this season having shared the Golden Boot with Mohamed Salah at the end of last campaign.
Davinson Sanchez will continue to deputise for Romero as a right-sided centre-half in Conte's back three, while the likes of Richarlison, Yves Bissouma and Ryan Sessegnon will all be hoping to make an impact from the substitutes' bench once again.
Lucas Moura and Bryan Gil missed Friday's training session with minor knocks and may not make the trip to the Midlands.
Tottenham possible starting lineup: Lloris; Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Emerson, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Perisic; Kulusevski, Son; Kane
