Andre Villas-Boas is reportedly appointed the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur.

Andre Villas-Boas has reportedly been appointed the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur.

The former Chelsea boss, who is believed to have been the only man considered for the role by Spurs, flew into London earlier today for talks with the club's board and chairman Daniel Levy.

Following several hours of discussions, the Portuguese coach has agreed to take charge of the White Hart Lane-based club, according to Sky Sports News.

The 34-year-old, replaces Harry Redknapp, has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea in March.

Details regarding the length of his contract are expected to emerge later today.
