Tottenham Hotspur announce the appointment of Luis Martins as the Premier League outfit's first-team coach.

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Luis Martins will join the club alongside Andre Villas-Boas as the North London outfit's first-team coach.

The coach has previously worked with the likes of Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United winger Nani during his stint at Sporting Lisbon.

More recently, Martins worked within Saudi Arabia's national team and also coached Al Ahli's Under-23 side in 2011 to the national championship.

The Premier League outfit have stressed that Martins will not be regarded as Villas-Boas's number two at White Hart Lane.
