Scott Parker eyes England recall

Scott Parker reveals that he intends to work hard and force his way back into the England squad.

Scott Parker has revealed that he intends to work hard to get back in the England side.

The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, who has only recently returned from injury, has been left out of the squad for Wednesday's friendly against Brazil at Wembley Stadium.

"I am proud to represent my country, but I say the same thing every time, it is going to be difficult because in this country we have an abundance of midfield players," said Parker.

"They are very good players, but I always say to myself, work hard, keep my form, play as well as I can and the rest will take care of itself. I just love to be involved with England."

Parker has won a total of 17 caps for his country since his debut in 2003.
