A report claims that Queens Park Rangers are willing to part with £4m and Jamie Mackie in order to land Peter Crouch from Stoke City.

Queens Park Rangers have reportedly offered Jamie Mackie as bait in a bid to tempt Stoke City into parting with Peter Crouch.

Crouch is currently out of favour at the Britannia Stadium and Redknapp is said to be keen to be reunited with a player that he has previously worked with at Southampton, Portsmouth and Tottenham Hotspur.

While Stoke are keen to keep hold of the England striker, QPR are hoping that the prospect of Mackie joining the club will convince the Potters to part with their highest-paid player, according The Independent.

The report has also claimed that QPR are willing to pay £4m as part of the deal.

It is also believed that Redknapp may make a late bid to take midfielder Scott Parker from his former club Tottenham.
