Harry Kane expects to reach 20-goal mark

Spurs hitman Harry Kane admits that his talismanic form has forced him to adjust his personal targets for the season.

In-form Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has revealed that he harbours an ambition to break the 20-goal barrier this season.

The 21-year-old opened the scoring in Saturday's 2-1 win over Burnley to take his total to 14 in all competitions, having fought his way into contention under Mauricio Pochettino.

"My first target was 10 goals and I have reached that," he told The Mirror. "My next target is 20 goals. I've got 14 now, so six to go. I'll continue to take each game as it comes and try to do my best.

"Obviously I have been given a chance this season and have done the right things so far. There is still a long way to go.

"There are still plenty of games left and hopefully I can keep playing and keep scoring."

Kane has struck four times in seven Premier League starts for the Lilywhites this season.
