Jermain Defoe out for two months?

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly worried that striker Jermain Defoe could miss up to two months with an ankle injury.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe could reportedly be sidelined for up to two months with an ankle injury.

The 30-year-old is thought to have suffered ligament damage during his side's 1-0 win at West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Sunday.

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas claimed that the forward could miss around three weeks of action but the club now believe that his absence will be considerably longer, according to The Mirror.

Defoe has been withdrawn from the England squad for Wednesday's friendly against Brazil.
