Queens Park Rangers captain Joey Barton believes that Luka Modric is the best footballer in the Premier League.
Barton came up against the Croatian midfielder this afternoon as Tottenham Hotspur recorded a 3-1 victory over QPR at White Hart Lane.
"What a footballer Luka Modric is, hats off. Best in the league by a mile," Barton wrote on Twitter.
Reflecting on his team's performance against their London rivals, Barton added: "Hard game that. Good team Spurs, better performance 2nd half. 2 great finishes from Bale. Onwards and upwards."
Rangers are now 12th in the Premier League table after today's defeat.
