Andre Villas-Boas predicts "extremely open" title race

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas believes that this season's Premier League title is likely to be "extremely open".

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has claimed that this season's Premier League title race will be "extremely open".

Spurs are currently in fifth place in the table following Sunday's 2-0 win at Aston Villa.

Villas-Boas is confident that there will be plenty of twists and turns during the remainder of the campaign, including the possibility of Manchester United retaining their title.

"The Premier League looks extremely open this season," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "It's so open that the 14th team has 10 points. Everyone is so tight together.

"I don't think it has that kind of impact, we will see the big fixtures coming for Arsenal, they have only played us and they will play other big teams.

"So I would suppose the fixture list at the moment is in favour of Man United because they have played all of the big teams so far. That will give them a chance to bounce back for sure."

Tottenham continue their campaign on Sunday when they welcome Hull City to White Hart Lane.
