Crystal Palace vs. Tottenham Hotspur: Head-to-head record and past meetings

Ahead of Friday's Premier League clash between Crystal Palace and Spurs, Sports Mole looks at the head-to-head record and previous meetings between the two clubs.

Having restored their place at the top of the Premier League table with a London derby victory on Monday night, Tottenham Hotspur have the chance to extend their lead to five points in another capital clash four days later.

Crystal Palace welcome Ange Postecoglou's high-fliers to Selhurst Park on Friday night having faltered after a positive start to the season, winning just one of their last five games and only scoring in one of their last four.

Roy Hodgson's 500th game in charge of an English club comes against a man who has made the best start to a managerial reign in Premier League history, with Postecoglou looking to extend his unbeaten arrival into double figures.

Here, Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at the head-to-head record and previous meetings between the two sides.

Head-to-head record

Previous meetings: 63
Crystal Palace wins: 13
Draws: 15
Spurs wins: 35

Tottenham have dominated this fixture in recent times, winning 13 and losing just one of their last 16 Premier League meetings with Palace.

That includes an ongoing run of three successive wins without conceding, coming out on top by an aggregate score of 7-0 in those games.

The most recent meeting saw Harry Kane score the only goal of the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and the Eagles will have been glad to see the back of the England captain this summer, having conceded 11 times in him overall.

Kane was also on the scoresheet twice on Tottenham's last visit to Selhurst Park as Antonio Conte's side cruised to their biggest-ever away win at Palace, running out 4-0 victors on January 4.

Son Heung-min was on the scoresheet alongside Kane and Matt Doherty in that match, and the Korean fan favourite boasts seven goals from his 15 previous meetings with Palace.

Despite that win, Tottenham's record at Selhurst Park is in stark contrast to their overall record in this fixture, having won just one of their last five visits in all competitions, drawing twice and losing twice.

The Eagles' last win over Spurs came in September 2021, when Wilfried Zaha and Odsonne Edouard (2) all scored in the final 15 minutes to earn a 3-0 win during Nuno Espirito Santo's short-lived reign in North London.

Patrick Vieira was the man in the Palace dugout for that match, and you have to go back to November 2008 for Hodgson's last and only Premier League win over Spurs.

That came during his time in charge of Fulham, with the veteran having otherwise drawn six and lost 13 of his previous top-flight games against Tottenham.
