How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Newcastle United

Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up for Sunday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur are heavy favourites to earn their second win of the new season on Sunday against a Newcastle side who have lost their first two matches.

Spurs equalised twice to earn a 2-2 draw at Manchester City following their opening 3-1 win over Aston Villa, leaving them four points ahead of Newcastle following the Magpies' defeats to Arsenal and Norwich City.

But for Jonjo Shelvey's injury-time consolation in the 3-1 loss at Carrow Road, new boss Steve Bruce would still be seeking a first Premier League goal of his tenure.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how free-scoring Spurs could line up for Sunday's fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Out: Juan Foyth (ankle), Tanguy Ndombele (thigh)
Doubtful: Dele Alli (hamstring)

Tottenham welcome back the creativity and goalscoring threat of Son Heung-min following his suspension from the opening two games of the season.

There are likely to be few surprises in the starting lineup for the hosts, who have lost just one of their last 10 Premier League home games.

A goal for midfield playmaker Christian Eriksen would make him the fifth player to score 50 Premier League goals for Spurs, joining a list that includes the likes of Harry Kane and Teddy Sheringham.

Having sat out the first two matches of the season, Dele Alli has returned to training but could be given more time to fully recover from his hamstring injury.
