Stevenage manager Gary Smith was delighted with his side's goalless draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup fifth round.

The League One side kept out their Premier League opponents to earn a lucrative replay at White Hart Lane on Tuesday, March 6.

"I thought today we prevented a tremendous Tottenham side from creating more than they are probably capable of," said Smith. "There was just a bundle of energy about the team.

"I thought that when that intensity dropped towards the end of both halves, the players' ideas and organisational skills to keep some very talented individuals at bay was fantastic.

"I am very, very pleased for them and all of their efforts. They have come away with a result, which is great."

The winner of the replay will face Bolton Wanderers in a home tie in the quarter-finals.
