Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has admitted that it "will not be easy" when he lines up against his former club Lyon on Thursday.
Spurs travel to Stade Gerland for their last-32 clash in the Europa League, and the French stopper has said it is not something that he is relishing.
"I received a lot of calls and a lot of messages [after the draw was made] because I have a lot of friends there still, and it is not easy for me because I have a good relationship with all my ex-teammates," Lloris was quoted as saying in The Mirror.
"But that's football, and on the pitch there are no friends. We play for our team and we give the best we can for the team.
"The competition is very difficult, it's very long but we have a good team and we can do something in this competition."
Lloris was signed from the Ligue 1 side in the summer of 2012.
