Vincente del Bosque: 'It's getting harder for Spain'

Vincente del Bosque admits that it is getting tougher for Spain to continue their dominance of international football.

Vincente del Bosque has admitted that it is getting harder and harder for Spain to maintain their impressive level of performance, as opponents get used to their style.

Del Bosque has led Spain to a World Cup and European Championship win, after building on the work of Luis Aragones, who won Euro 2008.

The 61-year-old thinks that belief is the key to their dominance in recent years but says it is getting tougher.

"Of course it's getting harder all the time. All our opponents know us very well and know exactly how we play," Del Bosque told FIFA.com.

"The most important thing is that we believe in what we are doing, and the players need to be patient to break down a defensive system. We can't go thinking we need to win every game in the first 10 minutes."

The veteran coach also revealed that he is unlikely to take another job when his Spain contract ends.

He continued: "I'm 61 now I've little more than a year before my work with the national team comes to an end.

"It'd be very difficult [to take on a club role] after this, as I honestly don't see myself coaching at 70. That's why I'll most likely call it a day after this."

Spain's next game is against Uruguay in Doha, in February.
