Pedro: 'Substitute role for Spain not worth staying for'

Spain and Chelsea winger Pedro tells Spanish media that a substitute role during Euro 2016 is "not worth staying for".

Spain winger Pedro has claimed that a substitute role during Euro 2016 is "not worth staying for".

The Chelsea forward has made just one appearance for Vicente del Bosque's side in the tournament, featuring for 10 minutes during their 1-0 victory over Czech Republic.

Pedro, who is behind David Silva and Nolito in La Roja's pecking order, told Spanish media that it was "difficult" for him to accept being second-choice as there was "no continuity" for him.

"If you don't see continuity, coming here to stay with the group is no longer worth it," he is quoted by BBC Sport as saying.

Pedro has 58 caps for Spain, scoring 17 goals since his debut in 2010.
