Alvaro Negredo has insisted that he deserves a chance to impress in a star-studded Spanish side.
Negredo has yet to feature at Euro 2012, with manager Vicente Del Bosque opting for either Fernando Torres or Cesc Fabregas in attack.
Negredo has praised the variety of options at Spain's disposal and still believes that he can play a major part in this tournament.
"The coach has three outright strikers here, and each of us are pretty distinct," Negredo said. "Fernando [Torres] is very quick and mobile and that makes him very powerful over the last few metres in front of goal. That's important for Spain.
"As for me, I try to link well with my team-mates and be in the right place at the right time, and that's what I'm trying to make the coach see."
Spain are unbeaten after their first two Euro 2012 group games but still a result against Croatia on June 18 to guarantee qualification.
