Southend United boss Phil Brown has revealed that the Shrimpers are still waiting on Noel Hunt to decide his future.
The Republic of Ireland international joined Southend on a free transfer last summer after leaving Ipswich Town, but an injury-hit campaign saw him manage just four league goals in 14 starts.
Hunt has already rejected a new offer from the League One side this summer and Brown has admitted that he is still waiting on the 33-year-old to make a decision.
"I haven't heard back from Noel since we made him a second offer so I'm not too sure what's happening with him. I've heard rumours linking him with other teams but we haven't heard anything concrete so I can't really say too much about it at the moment," Brown told the Southend Evening Echo.
Former Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger is currently on trial with the Shrimpers.
