Southampton are reportedly planning a move for ex-Chelsea and Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero.
The 40-year-old has been a free agent since departing the Blues at the end of the 2020-21 campaign, but not before collecting a Champions League winners' medal.
Southampton are currently dealing with injuries to their two main goalkeepers in Alex McCarthy and Fraser Forster, with 23-year-old Harry Lewis representing Ralph Hasenhuttl's only fit senior option.
As a result, talkSPORT claims that Caballero is being eyed up by Saints chiefs, with the veteran's experience in between the sticks ideal amid Hasenhuttl's goalkeeping injury woes.
The ex-Argentina international made a total of 34 Premier League appearances during his time with Chelsea and City - keeping 13 clean sheets - but he only played one game in the top flight for Chelsea last term.
Caballero made 16 Premier League starts for Man City during the 2016-17 season, though, and he has won the Champions League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, Europa League and Copa Libertadores during his career.
