Southampton have reportedly made a first and final offer of £14m to Birmingham City for striker Che Adams.
The 22-year-old is a long-term target for the Saints, who are believed to have had a £10m bid rejected in the January transfer window.
The former Sheffield United man was one of the top scorers in the Championship last season, finding the net 22 times in 46 appearances and setting up four more for his teammates.
According to The Sun, Southampton have made a "take-it-or-leave-it bid" for Adams, who is said to be keen on a move to the south coast side this summer.
Brum are thought to want closer to £16m for a player they bought for just £2m three years ago and also have interest in him from Southampton's Premier League rivals Burnley.
Adams has three years remaining on his current contract at St Andrew's.
