Southampton plot move for winger Eljero Elia?

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is plotting a move for Werder Bremen's Dutch winger Eljero Elia in January, according to reports.

Ronald Koeman is interested in bringing Dutch winger Eljero Elia to St Mary's and is lining up a January bid for the Werder Bremen man, according to reports.

The 27-year-old only joined the German side in 2012, but is now thought to be for sale at around £4m.

His availability has alerted Koeman, who is still pursuing a wide man after failing to land Tottenham Hotspur's Andros Townsend, according to The Mirror.

Elia, who has 27 caps for the Netherlands, made his name at ADO Den Haag and FC Twente, before moving to Hamburger SV and later on to Juventus.
