Graziano Pelle elated to get Southampton back to winning ways

Southampton striker Graziano Pelle is elated that they managed to get back to winning ways in the Premier League by ending a five-match winless run against Everton.

Southampton striker Graziano Pelle has admitted that he was delighted to see his side get back to winning ways in the Premier League.

The Saints had lost their last four matches in the top flight to stall the momentum built up by their excellent start to the campaign.

However, Ronald Koeman's men got back on track with a resounding 3-0 win over Everton at St Mary's Stadium on Saturday.

Pelle told the club's official website: "I'm really happy because finally we did what we used to do in the beginning of the season. We scored goals and we didn't receive them.

"I'm really happy for everybody, for the players that made their debut and for those who usually play because finally we got a result.

"We didn't play so bad in the last games, a few we did, but the other games we deserved more. The result is the most important, we played convincingly and I'm very happy."

Pelle took his goal tally to eight in the Premier League this season with his strike against the Toffees.
